Have you ever taken 5 children, including one with autism, to a museum? I have. Imagine Planet was founded to give families in Jackson, MI a safe and welcoming place to explore science through animals and hands-on activities. Our free admission means you can try us out and not have committed large sums of admission fees only to have a meltdown occur. There is fun for all ages here at Imagine Planet!
Jean McKim is our founder and our executive director. She graduated from Yale University with a degree in Geology and Geophysics, attended the University of Michigan for a master's program in Geological Science (Paleontology), and earned an elementary teaching certificate K-8 with endorsements in math and science from Spring Arbor University. She has worked for the DNR at the Eddy Discovery Center, as a Science Olympiad coach, and ran an elementary afterschool nature club for 8 years in Grass Lake. She combines knowledge and humor to provide a distinctive experience for all. |
